What is CommuniKITS?
CommuniKITS is a revolutionary new marketing
system created exclusively for small businesses. Through mass
customization, CommuniKITS delivers professionally created
marketing materials (letterhead and business cards, brochures,
websites, direct mail and more) at a fraction of the price
traditionally associated with custom marketing materials.
How much can I expect to save over
custom-developed marketing materials?
Creative development fees for CommuniKITS
are normally 60% to 75% less than custom-developed marketing
materials. In some cases, the savings may be even greater!
Will my marketing materials look
just like everyone else’s?
No. CommuniKITS gives every customer the
chance to make their brochure look unique. You can choose
colors, type and photography. Plus, we’ll incorporate
your logo and your text. No two CommuniKITS pieces are identical!
How does CommuniKITS work?
Here’s how it works:

Choose from 15
different designs that you can customize for your company.
Select any or all of the following CommuniKITS elements:
8 1/2 x 11 brochures, 11 x 17 brochures, letterhead, business
cards, envelopes, door hangers, direct mail postcards,
pocket folders, newsletters, flyers, websites, presentation
templates, print ads and ad specialties.
- Customize the campaign with your
own type & color selections. The basic design is already
done—just pick the one you like and modify it to suit
your preferences!
- Provide your text or have us write
it for you. We’ll even provide photos from our library
at no additional charge.
- Choose your quantities and we
take care of the printing!
- Complete the order form checking
all of your selections and fax it to us at 636-227-4424
or mail it to us at 213 Old Meramec Station Rd., Manchester,
MO 63021.
- After we receive your order form,
we will contact you and ask you to complete a brief customer
information form. This will help us get a feel for the personality
of your business which will help us choose photography and
write copy for you (should you choose that option). We will
provide you with an estimated completion date at that point.

How many different CommuniKITS design
packages are there?
We’ve developed 15 different design
packages to give you the choice and flexibility you need.
But we’re not stopping there. We already have more under
development. When they’re ready, we’ll post them
on our website!

Can I use any design template, even
if it is not my industry?
Yes. Most of our designs are photography
or illustration-driven. Despite the fact that a design template
is labeled manufacturing or medical, other businesses can
use those packages. See the Samples section of our website
to see how a furniture company used the Medical/Healthcare
design for their brochure.
What kind of payment do you accept
and when do I pay?
We require the entire amount at the time
of order. Currently we accept checks, money orders or cashier’s
checks. Credit cards will be accepted in the near future.

What elements are included in the
design packages?
Each CommuniKITS campaign templates includes
the following elements:
8.5 x 11 brochures, 11 x 17 brochures, letterhead, business
cards, envelopes, door hangers, direct mail postcards, pocket
folders, newsletters, flyers, websites, presentation templates,
print ads and ad specialties.
If I want something that is not a
standard CommuniKITS element design, can you do that?
Yes. We’re happy to discuss the creation
of other elements, like trade show graphics or signage—or
even a different layout on a brochure or direct mail piece—with
you. Once we get a better understanding of what you want,
we’ll give you an estimate. Any CommuniKITS design can
be applied to other pieces not included in our standard offering.
We will provide you with a written estimate for these projects
outside of our standard CommuniKITS offering.
Can I use a color combination not
shown in the catalog?
Yes. We can use any color combination you
like. The combinations in the catalog have been chosen to
give you a better idea of what the final piece may look like.
However, whenever we go "off the menu," photography
will look different—and we will not be able to guarantee
the look of the final product. But we are happy to help you
with this request. If you can tell us the 2 PMS colors you
want to use, there will be no additional charge, however,
if you want consulting on colors and there are many rounds
of review and revisions, additional charges may apply.
Can I get my own CommuniKITS package
printed through my printer?
No. The Marketing Depot must produce any
final CommuniKITS product. This helps ensure consistent product
quality and provides copyright protection for our designs.

Why are all CommuniKITS designs developed
in 2 colors only?
We’ve created CommuniKITS to give
you the best value for your marketing dollar. We believe that
good 2-color design gives you maximum value. But full-color
printing is available for an up-charge.
What does it cost to upgrade to full-color
printing?
There is typically a 35% or a 40% up-charge
for 4-color process printing. If you want to add a fifth color,
varnishes or die-cuts, please call for a quote. See the order
form for more details.
Can I pay to upgrade paper stocks?
Yes. Please call 636-227-4424 for a quote.
Can I give you my own photography
for my marketing materials?
Yes. We’re happy to use your photography.
Please consult with the order form for submission formats
and requirements. We cannot however, guarantee the quality
of photos provided by your company.

What kind of photography is included?
We own thousands of royalty-free photos
that are free-of-charge to you. We’ll review your text
and make photo recommendations based on that text. If we do
not have the photography you are looking for, you may provide
it or purchase additional photography through us.
Your print quantities stop at 5,000
on the order form. Can I order more than that?
Yes. For larger quantities, simply call
us toll-free at 636-227-4424 for a quote.
Do I have to order all the items
in a given campaign?
No. You can order any or all of the items
listed—it’s your choice. Be sure to note the packaged
specials, though. They offer some outstanding values!
Can you help me decide what items
I need for my business?
Yes. We can help you understand how all
these items fit into your marketing. And, if you like, we
can provide you with a quote for the development of a detailed
marketing plan.

Do I have to write my own copy?
No. Each item with any copy requirements
has three tiers of pricing:
- You provide your own copy—the lowest
cost.
- We tweak copy you provide—an intermediate
cost.
- We write the copy for you after you
provide a list of key points—the most expensive option
(also our most popular!).
Can I have someone else recreate
CommuniKITS designs?
No. All CommuniKITS designs are copyrighted
by The Marketing Depot. Any CommuniKITS designs must be purchased
through The Marketing Depot.
Can you help me with custom developed
marketing projects that are not in the CommuniKITS family?
Yes. The Marketing Depot, which owns
